Featuring award-winning poet Mary Jo Firth Gillett. Mary Jo will read from
her new book, Soluble Fish, winner of the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First
Book Award. She will hook you with her love of language, her insight and delightful
humor.

Hosted by Esther Hurwitz and Chris Lord at the downtown Sweetwaters (corner of Washington St. and Ashley) in the side room.Starts at 7pm until 9pm. FREE. Come in and buy a coffee, tea, and pastry and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow local writers!

Coffee Tasting at Plum Market, Ann Arbor Saturday, November 22, 2008 10am-3pm

Ann Arbor Women Artists at Sweetwaters

A lens…a brush…a stroke is the new show at Sweetwaters downtown on Washington St. Ann Arbor Women Artists is featuring the artwork of Wendy Chaiken, Corinne Vivian, and Marty Walker.

Wendy Chaiken: photography and mixed media works; Corinne Vivian: story telling mixed media works; Marty Walker: realistic pastel works.

A percentage of artwork sales will be collected by the AAWA, a nonprofit organization, and used for scholarships in our community.
Show: September 10 - November 3
Artist Reception: September 19, 2008 7-9 PM all are welcome to come
